Video Production

 

In this elective course, students will explore a variety of introductory movie-making skills and concepts. They learn how to use a digital video camera, manage video files, and edit video clips to create student-made videos. Basic editing techniques are introduced and applied using computer technology. Students learn the process of creating an original story through moving pictures infusing the concepts of creative thinking, collaboration and computer technology. Additional concepts students learn include camera angles, stop-motion animation, script writing, how to create storyboards and shot lists, acting for the camera, pitching idea, film production crew roles, and so much more! Additionally, this class offers students the chance to be involved in a school-wide news show that will display technical skills in movie making and story-telling skills.
