About

The Beaumont Unified School District Facilities Planning Department is responsible for ensuring school sites are prepared to accommodate the needs of its growing student population. The department monitors and analyses new developments and demographic trends and assesses enrollment capacity. Additionally, the department oversees the planning, design, and construction of new school facilities as well as the modernization of existing buildings and land acquisition for new schools.

 

Facilities Planning Department strives to provide safe and equitable learning environments conducive to everyday learning. The department's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring new development and collecting fees
  • Supporting the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee
  • Assessing and recommending attendance boundaries
  • Land acquisition for new schools
  • Monitor school enrollment capacity and site utilization
  • Design, planning, construction, and modernization of schools
  • Facility Use Request
  • Updating the district’s Facility Master Plan
