About Us
About
The College and Career Readiness division focuses on aligning education to the global workforce. We engage students in opportunities through the "Be Ready Beaumont" initiative, Career Technical Education courses, internships, and apprenticeships to ensure students skills and interests are at the forefront.
Be Ready Beaumont
The "Be Ready Beaumont" initiative is a movement and mindset within the Beaumont Unified District. For too long, public education has fallen short in teaching students to identity their unique skills, interests, and career goals. We are as focused on graduating students with high GPAs as we are about ensuring they have a clear plan for what comes after high school––whether that is a trade school, university, or career.
You will see the Be Ready Beaumont movement in action throughout the District. From job fairs at elementary schools, mock interviews at high schools, and even field trips to colleges, it is simply what we do.
Career Technical Education Programming
The Career Technical Education, also known as CTE programming, is another component of the "Be Ready Beaumont" movement. CTE programs are available to students seeking a rigorous, hands-on education in specific industries.
The CTE program offers a variety of "pathways," such as the culinary arts, construction, and sports medicine. Within these pathways are multiple courses that advance upward and are led by real industry experts who have extensive experience in the field.
Participating schools offering CTE programming may be found at––
