The Beaumont USD's Science and Engineering Fair involved 40 competing students. Fourth grade student Jackson Gerhard from Summerwind Trails School took first place for his project titled, “Soccer’s Sweet Spot.” Gerhard and 18 other students will proceed to the county-level competition.

The Beaumont Bean recently celebrated their grand opening. The coffee shop is located at the Adult Transition School and is ran by students with physical and/or learning disabilities. The Beaumont Bean aims to provide professional and social experience to the participants.
