Thank you for enrolling your child and filling out the interest form for the Dual Language Program at Palm Innovation Academy!

Mandatory Meeting: Parents must attend a mandatory virtual informational meeting on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 5 p.m. An email with meeting information will be sent to the parents who completed the Dual Language Immersion interest form. Attending the meeting does not guarantee acceptance into the program.

**If you didn't have a chance to enroll your child or fill out the interest form, you can still attend the informational zoom meeting on May 25th. You can access the meeting at the link below.

Student Screening/Language Assessment: The purpose of this assessment is mainly to identify proficient Spanish speakers, which is crucial to the success of the program. Therefore, we will only be assessing students who are identified as speaking "Spanish" or being "Bilingual" on the Dual Language Immersion interest form you completed. We will be contacting those families with more details.

Student Selection Criteria: We will be following the student selection criteria:

1. Siblings of students currently enrolled in the Dual Language Immersion Program

2. Students whose primary language is Spanish

3. Students residing within the Beaumont USD boundaries

4. Children of CURRENT Beaumont USD employees

5. Interest Form Date Stamp (Google Form will automatically date stamp)

6. Students residing outside the Beaumont USD boundaries.

Parent Notification and Commitment Letter: Parents will be notified of student placement in mid-June via email. Parents will receive a letter expressing their commitment to the program, which will need to be signed and submitted electronically. If the commitment letter is not received, the student's spot will be given to someone on the waitlist.

**Students who are not selected will be placed on the waiting list.**
