Free District Literacy Fair: March 21st, 2026 from 11:30 am-2:30 pm
Our theme this year is "Our Stories, Our Strength", highlighting how our diversity makes us stronger as a community! Join us for a Book Fair, activities for families, information and resources, Food trucks, a chance to win a prize, and author workshops!
 
Our Guest Authors are:
Session 1: 11:45 am-12:15 pm Lindsay Hill- author of the "Catching Twilight" series! Hear about her newest book and her struggle with dyslexia, she will inspire you to never give up!
Session 2: 12:30 pm -1:00 pm Kevon Lee- author of "Kevin's Big Field day", a story about teamwork and overcoming challenges, inspired by Lee's own experiences growing up in the foster care system.
Session 3: 1:15 pm - 1:45 pm Shuvette Marshall- author of "Fix Your Face", the book encourages young readers to celebrate their unique identities and every person is born with a distinct purpose!
 

About FACE

The purpose of the Family and Community Engagement committee is to work collaboratively with Beaumont Unified School District and its District Parent Engagement Coordinator regarding the services and programs the District offers to students.

 

The Committee will advise the District regarding, but not limited to, the following––

  • Improve the quality of education for all students by raising the level of awareness in our community about diverse learning needs, advising on action that will impact change, while promoting an understanding among families, caregivers, educators, and others of sensitive issues that students are facing
  • Engage families in the process of working collaboratively with the District in establishing program goals and objectives for all students
