About the Proposed 2024 Bond

Dedicated Local Funding for School Safety Improvements

To foster a safe and secure learning environment for our students, the Board of Trustees is considering placing a $148 million school safety improvement bond measure on the November 2024 ballot, to help address the first phase of improvements identified in the Facilities Master Plan.

If approved by voters, funding from the measure could -
  • Improve student safety, campus security systems, fencing, cameras, and more
  • Repair or replace deteriorating roofs, plumbing, electrical, etc. where needed
  • Secure land and begin the design phase for additional schools, including a high school campus

Mandatory Fiscal Accountability

  • All money raised by a potential measure would be locally controlled to support our schools
  • No funds could be taken away by the State
  • Citizens Oversight and independent audits would ensure funds are spent as voters intended
