Surplus Properties Available

Update on the Oak Valley Property: On January 27, 2026, the Board adopted three separate Resolutions of Intent establishing the minimum price and terms for the sale of such properties, and setting May 12, 2026, as the meeting at which it would open and declare written proposals for the purchase of such properties.

In April 2026, however, the City of Beaumont, in conjunction with other governmental agencies, approached the District relative to a renewed interest in the acquisition of the Oak Valley Property. Consequently, to allow for continued negotiation with the City pursuant to Education Code and Government Code surplus provisions, it is proposed to continue bidding on the Oak Valley Property until September 8, 2026.

On January 27, 2026, the Board of Trustees adopted a resolution declaring the Manzanita, Oak Valley, and Pennsylvania Avenue sites as surplus property pursuant to Education Code Section 17466.
 
The District is accepting sealed bids for the purchase of the properties listed below.
Site 1: Manzanita
APN: 428-020-004
Acreage: 21.58
Minimum Bid: $1,300,000.00
 
Site 2: Oak Valley
APN: 414-070-001, 414-070-002, and 414-070-007
Acreage: 17.23
Minimum Bid: $1,600,000.00
 
Site 3: Pennsylvania Avenue
APN: 418-240-011 and 419-770-007
Acreage: 18.76
Minimum Bid: 4,500,000.00
 
Bid Packages - Submission Requirements:

Submit sealed bids on the District’s Bid Form with a $10,000 cashier’s check payable to "Beaumont Unified School District."

The deadline for written proposals is no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 350 W. Brookside Ave., Beaumont, CA 92223 (“District Office”), marked “Sealed Bid Proposal for Auction of (Site Name) - DO NOT OPEN.”

Bids will be opened that the Board meeting held at the District Office on May 12, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at which time they will be declared and there will be a call for oral bids exceeding the highest written bid by at least 5 percent.
