Department of Industrial Relations - Contractor Requirements

Beaumont Unified School District invites all qualified contractors to provide a proposal for our projects.

 
Pursuant to SB-854––
  • No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]
  • No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5
  • All labor provided to Beaumont Unified School District is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations
 
Contractor Pre-Qualification––
  • California Assembly Bill AB 2031 requires General Contractors and Subcontractors to be prequalified on all public works projects
  • The District has contracted with PQBids to provide a web-based process for pre-qualification
  • To  become prequalified, applications must be submitted to PQBids.
    • PQBids is an easy to use web-based application that streamlines the new Department of Industrial Relations pre-qualification process
  • The District requires contractors to be listed on the Master List of CUPCCAA Bidders
