Requirements

If you are enrolling a new student* into the Beaumont Unified School District, please carefully follow the steps below––

*Currently enrolled students do not need to re-enroll.
 

New Student Enrollment Steps

Step 1: Student Identification

To verify the identify of the new student enrolling, you will be required to provide a birth certificate or passport.

Step 2: Immunization Records

All vaccines must be up to date and valid. View the detailed requirements below––

4 Doses
3 Doses OK if one was given on or after fourth birthday

5 Doses of DTaP, DTP, or DTP or DT 
4 Doses OK if one was given on or after fourth birthday
3 Doses OK if last dose was given after seventh birthday for all 7 - 12 graders
1 Dose of Tdap or DTP/DtaP on or after the seventh birthday
MMR
2 Doses 
Both given on or after first birthday
 
Hepatitis B 3 Doses   
Varicella 2 Doses   
 
 

Step 3: Student Transcripts or Report Cards, if applicable

Transcripts are required if enrolling in grade 9 thru 12. Report cards must include all previously completed high school letter grades.

Step 4: Individualized Education Plan and/or 504 Plan, if applicable

This documentation is not required if your child does not have an Individualized Education Plan or 504 Plan. For questions or concerns, please contact us.

Step 5: Parent/Guardian Photo Identification

Photo documentation may include a passport, government ID, or driver license.

Step 6: Residency Verification

Acceptable* forms of verification must include your legal name and address, such as––
  • Current rental or lease agreement
  • Current mortgage/escrow papers
  • Recent utility bill
 
*Cellphone bills are not acceptable forms of verification.
 

Residency Verification 

The Beaumont Unified School District may ONLY enroll students whose Parent(s) or Guardian(s) reside within school district boundaries (Education Code 48204). In cases in which residency is in question, the school district may conduct a residency investigation. Residency verification is a parent's responsibility and falsification of information provided will be grounds for immediate cancellation of enrollment. Other parties must complete the affidavit stipulating the registering parent lives in the residence of another person. The parent must present their photo ID and then may register. If you are residing with someone else and the utility bills or lease/mortgage is in their name, both parties must complete an affidavit stipulating the registering parent lives in the residence of another person. A utility bill and photo identification card of the person with whom you are residing with is required.

NOTICE - A registration determined to be secured by false, misleading, or deliberate omission of information to establish residency in the Beaumont Unified School District will be considered null and void.

Step 8A: Dental Exam; Kindergarten and 1st Grade Only

All new families with students enrolling a student in kindergarten or the 1st grade must provide a completed oral assessment form from a dental office.
 

Form must be issued 12 months prior to school starting.

Step 8B: Dental Forms
