To improve communication and collaboration between the elected Board of Trustees and the student body. In addition, the Board of Trustees supports the participation of high school students in District governance. Petra Rathfelder | September - December 2025 Term
Beaumont High School
Petra Rathfelder is current Student Board Member who seeks to amplify the voices of the "valuable, diverse, and plentiful perspectives" of the student body. She strongly believes the Beaumont Unified School District is "central" to the community as well as believing education is the "center" of her life.
Rathfelder volunteers at the Highland Springs Farm, competes in Academic Decathlon and Tennis, and is the co-founder and secretary of Vet Visions. Additionally, she is a lifelong resident of Beaumont, California and a current senior at Beaumont High School.
Kaiden Alderson | January - May 2026 Term
21st Century Learning Institute
Kaiden Alderson is a current Student Board Member who seeks to advocate for other students using his excellent leadership skills. He is committed to contributing immense changes within the District through student involvement and communication. Alderson is also focused on fostering a sense of community and improved learning experiences.
Alderson has been recognized by the Riverside County Bar Association for good citizenship. He is a member of the 21st Century Learning Institute's site council and the president and founder of the school's chess club. He anticipates he will graduate with two associate degrees, along with his high school diploma.
