Application Process

High school students seeking to serve as a Student Board Member must––
  • Complete the online application by the required due date
  • After applications are reviewed, finalists will be invited to interview in-person by the Board of Trustees, Superintendent, and Public Information Officer

About Student Board Members

The Board of Trustees believes in enhancing communication and collaboration with students, while also teaching civic involvement. Each year, the Board of Trustees welcomes a new volunteer student representative to serve a complete semester. In this role, the student will volunteer to attend monthly board meetings, present on the successes of school activities, and provide feedback on important student-related issues.

Hayleigh Bracht
Hayleigh Bract was born and raised in Beaumont. As a senior, she is committed to providing a voice to the youth of Beaumont to ensure people feel heard and safe in their environments. 
Bracht is in her fourth year of the Associated Student Body at Beaumont High School, and serves as the vice president. She also is the President of the school's Environmental Club. Additionally, she is an active member of Interact, a community service program.

Theo Harris has always appreciated the efforts made by staff to consistently provide a better education for all students. Throughout his high school career, he has been involved in various clubs, including the Black Student Union and the National Honors Society.
Additionally, Harris is a part of the Beaumont Youth Council and the Economic Development Committee. As a regular volunteer through the Interact, a community service program, Harris seeks to make the City of Beaumont a better place.
