Keep Informed During an Emergency

For reliable access to information regarding an emergency that is affecting your student's school, we will distribute information on one or more of the following channels––

Important Emergency Terms

Lock-Downs
When there is a threat on campus, the school or District may enact a "Lock-Down." All students and staff are locked inside and are not allowed to enter or leave their location until the threat is removed. Do NOT call your child or the school during this time, as it may put the individual at increased risk.

Hold and Secure
When there is a nearby threat off-campus, the school or District may enact a "Hold and Secure." All entrances are locked and no person is permitted to enter the building.

Shelter in Place
When there is a threat off-campus or on-campus, such as bad weather, students and staff are sheltered inside until the threat is removed.

Evacuation
When there is a threat that requires the school to leave the building or campus, an "evacuation" is ordered. Families will be notified of the safe location their child is located at.
