Athletic Coach Information
To be considered for a coaching position with the Beaumont Unified School District, create a Home Campus account and complete the "Coaches Clearance." If you are selected for a position, the human resource office will contact you with the next steps.
Qualified certificated staff are given preference for all coaching positions.
Clearance Requirements
All applicants/individuals desiring to coach or volunteer for an athletic program must fulfill all District requirements prior to engaging in any activity on school grounds or with Beaumont Unified School District.
CPR/First Aid Requirement
The District has approved the CPR and first aid courses offered at RedCross.org. At the end of each course, the applicant must upload the certificates to their Home Campus account. Certificates are valid for up to 2 years.
CIF Coaching Certification
All high school coach applicants must complete a CIF-approved coaching certification course through the NFHS website.
Once completed, attach the certificate to your Home Campus account. This is a lifetime certificate and will not need to be renewed.

- Visit http://www.nfhslearn.com
- Select the “Courses” tab on the top index bar
- Add course, “Fundamentals of Coaching” course - CA
- Add course, "Concussion in Sports/Heat Illness/Sudden Cardiac Arrest"
- Complete the courses
Courses must be completed every two years.
Fingerprinting/TB Clearance
Coaching applicants are required to be fingerprinted through the FBI and DOJ. Coaches receiving a stipend will be required to pay for the fingerprinting service. Volunteer coaches will be given a waiver to cover all costs.
A "negative TB result," dated within 60 days of the test, must be provided by the coach to the Human Resources office. Volunteers will receive a waiver to be tested at the District’s contracted urgent care.
Drug Test Requirement (Once completed, information will be uploaded into Home Campus by HR)
New coaching applicants will be required to drug test prior to coaching. Returning coaches who have not drug tested with the district before will also be required to drug test. The drug test is a one-time only. Results will remain on file for future seasons if the coach decides to return.
Keenan SafeSchools (Once completed, information will be uploaded into Home Campus by HR)
Upon being selected to coach, HR will create a Keenan SafeSchools account for you to complete the Mandated Reporter, Sexual Harassment, Infectious Diseases, and Child Abuse Prevention trainings.
